This is what we have "labeled" our group. I think a good place to start with this blog is to ask ... what does this mean to you and how do you see it lived out in your life? Maybe give an example or two or even areas you'd like to see it lived out better.
Ok so let me see if I can start this .. for me this is a huge challenge! Do I really live my life as an example to what Christ has done and proclaim that? I believe in certain situations I do especially with other believers yet what about the lost?
ReplyDeleteI know the Lord continues to work out this call in my life and rather than see it as a "bold" act to share my faith, see it as an amazing privelege and blessing that I simply cannot hold back.
So there ya have it .. any thoughts?
Um........I don't think we can answer this all in one mind set for His thoughts, His Ways, His love is beyond our own understanding. But yet we are like Christ because we are made in his image and through His Spirit we are able to see his grate love in this verse. Love is what he is. But remember that love is not a feeling it is an action that leads up closer to our King. His Love was an action. He came and died for us to have life. That is why we need to always be in prayer and ask the Lord to give us hearts beyond our own understanding to be able to see beyond what we call love and experience Corinthians 2:2 AN ACTION OF LOVE! And it can be with in your own four walls. Family, friends, work, school, I believe that love is a gift that is given to all of us to use for his glory! For me it means so much but what really comes close to my heart when I read this is, To live is Christ and to die is gain life In our physical fleshy life and in our spiritual life. We have that hope that will never disappoint us and we are made righteous by our faith. But it is a constant battle in our lives our faith will be tested and for us to be disciples of Christ we need to lose ourselves completely and recognize that we can not be our own teacher, and try to fix things on our own terms. For it is a process he does in our lives not a procedure. For he is reaching down, not us reaching up. Examine our lives our past we couldn't do it by our selves and we still can't, we surrendered it all to Him and He came and comes down and lifts us up. Gosh! that is beautiful! Every day is a new day to re- write our story.

He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
he drew me out of deep waters.
He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
from my foes, who were too strong for me.
They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
but the Lord was my support.
He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.
This is what Corinthians 2:2 is all about for me.

Hey Priscilla .. I love this line you wrote .. "Every day is a new day to re- write our story" .. now that's amazing grace. I know in and of myself I fall terribly short yet in Him I am more than a conqueror! He, not me, has gained victory over the enemy and I am simply to live out that amazing grace and command to make disciples. What a privlege indeed!

Ya it really is amazing grace Um....David said something today that got me he said something about how the promises of today are linked to the promises for tomorrow. It was something like that, I need to re-check with him but I think it was just that everything that goes on in our lives day-ly there is a purpose and preparation for the next day the Lord has for us. Even though we never know what tomorrow brings the Lord is in it and prepares us, and I think that's what the Lord is doing in my life but I just don't see him in it. But i know he is there. It's just so wow. lol
Then he touched on the word enemy, and he refer ed to enemy as ourselves! I was like OMW! lol that is just so Awesome! well not really but you know what I mean. lol I always thought of the world being our like enemy, and well it is but We are our worst enemies. And that is just so true, but that is why he came and He saved us from ourselves that we would not be lead to destruction by our own evil longings of our hearts. And that we may find rest and comfort in him. He is so amazing and we just gotta float. But how do you stay still in the mist of life????
